Just visited La Falconara in February for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! I went w/my hubby, 2 children and 2 other couples and their children..plenty of room for the kiddies to run around. Alex, the owner, is most hospitable and cooked us a "typical" Tuscan meal on Sat. night -- the food, wine and conversation were quite memorable! La Falconara is excellently located less than 1 mile from the quaint Etruscan town of Montepulciano...and an easy drive to several other quaint towns (Montechiello, Pienze, Quirico... - views are absolutely stunning!). The farmhouse is very quaint with 3 apartments. We had the smallest one (2 levels), but it was fine for us 4. The other apartments are quaint as well, but a little more roomy...Alex, the owner, now owns the olive groves and makes olive oil, as well as some other homemade goodies...he still owns 2% of the La Castella winery, which we toured (makes Montepulciano Nobile and some Brunellos)...cannot wait until the Spring to return to this beautiful Tuscan countryside when everything is in bloom! Enjoy!!
Searching for an agriturismo? In the search bar in the upper-left corner, type "agriturismo" and then on "Cerca Nel Blog" or "Search Blog." All agriturismos will be displayed.
"RECOMMENDED" is a place recommended by a member of our community, and that I look forward to trying!
A "TRIP" is a destination that probably includes a place to stay and a restaurant to try. See "Pescocostanzo," for example.
Want to try a different food in Rome? Search by "Foreign" and see the foreign food restaurants.
